I have some updates about what's been happening lately with the art! The art is such a passion of mine, I am constantly working on it, painting, trying new things and most importantly..... setting up my new studio!!!
As some of you know, Matt and I moved in together recently (YAY!)... and we are now renting an old, wonderful forest service cabin just outside of Santa Barbara. This place has so much soul. It also has an "art studio" - or so we were told 😉 And, yes, it does in fact have a studio - but that studio had ancient carpet over the wood and smelled overpoweringly of mouse pee!! This led to scrubbing, baking soda, vinegar, dishsoap cleaning effort (four times on hands and knees to be exact) that took up the better part of a week and weekend. The good news, is it no longer smells. The even better news is that I now have a new, beautiful art studio with a stunning view (see below). I also treated myself to a new diffuser - that was a very good idea.
Our place is across from a river and right by my horse ranch. While it will probably be blazing hot in the summer, we are enjoying the Ireland style hills right now and soaking it in by the fire with a glass of wine.
So, I thought I'd let you know a little bit more about what's been happening in our lives lately. I'm sure I'll be sharing more photos of the new studio soon!
